About: The Climate Change Investment Initiative (2c2i) is a 10-year, $20 million program jointly funded by Exelon Foundation and Exelon Corporation. It aims to support innovative startups that develop solutions for climate change mitigation, adaptation, and resilience. The initiative also emphasizes social equality and economic prosperity within Exelon’s service areas, including Chicago, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Atlantic City, and Wilmington. Selected startups receive a minimum equity investment of $100,000 from the Exelon Foundation and in-kind services from Exelon Corporation, such as expert guidance, business plan support, networking opportunities, and regulatory feedback. Additionally, each startup collaborates with Exelon on an Impact Project to advance environmental goals and benefit underserved community segments.
