Why we use it
To assess fit, prepare drafts, request clarifications, complete required fields, and submit the application where the grantor permits third-party submission.
- Portal credentials or delegated access are used only as necessary to prepare or submit the application on your behalf.
- We do not share your Full Application materials with unrelated third parties. Sharing is limited to Grantaura service providers and the grant submission itself when required.
- If a grantor requires direct applicant action, identity verification, or applicant-controlled login steps, we may ask you to complete those steps yourself.
- We retain Full Application materials only as long as reasonably needed for service delivery, compliance, dispute resolution, and recordkeeping.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information for legitimate service operations, including:
- Providing grant discovery, advisory, educational, and support services.
- Matching users with relevant grant opportunities and improving result quality.
- Processing purchases, scheduling consultations, and fulfilling paid services.
- Preparing and submitting grant applications on your behalf when you purchase Full Application Submission and the grantor permits that service model.
- Operating accounts, dashboards, preferences, saved items, and service history.
- Responding to requests, support needs, and service inquiries.
- Improving website performance, usability, accessibility, and content relevance.
- Delivering marketing or updates where legally permitted and honoring unsubscribe requests.
- Maintaining security, fraud prevention, abuse detection, and legal compliance.
4.1 Legal bases (EEA/UK context)
Where applicable, we process personal data under one or more legal bases: consent, contract performance, legal obligation, and legitimate interests (such as service improvement, fraud prevention, and reliable platform operations).
5. AI, Automation, and Future Services
Grantaura uses and continues to develop technology-assisted features to improve grant discovery and user productivity. These may include ranking, recommendation, summarization, trend insights, and workflow automation.
As Grantaura expands into future offerings such as memberships, digital products, affiliate-supported resources, courses, webinars, and deeper decision-support tools, we may process additional service data needed to deliver those offerings. Material changes to processing practices will be reflected in this policy before or when those features launch.
We do not intend to rely solely on automated decisions that create legal or similarly significant effects without human oversight and appropriate safeguards where required by law.

9. Account Deletion Process (Step-by-Step)
Deleting your Grantaura account is intentionally strict to prevent accidental loss. Follow these steps in order. If any step fails, stop and contact support before trying again.
Before you delete your account
- Deletion is permanent and account access cannot be restored automatically.
- Saved items, dashboard history, account preferences, and account-level billing access may no longer be available.
- Export anything you need first, including billing records or grant-related notes.
- If you suspect unauthorized access, first open Session Security and sign out other devices before deletion.
- Open your dashboard security panel. Sign in, go to Account, then open Sign-in & Security.
- Find the “Delete account” row. In the Security section, click Show delete account options to reveal the full form.
- Read the red warning box completely. Confirm you understand this action cannot be undone.
- Type
DELETEexactly. Use all capital letters in the confirmation field. Any typo blocks deletion. - Enter your current password. This confirms it is really you making this request.
- Tick the confirmation checkbox. You must actively confirm that access cannot be restored automatically.
- Choose your next action carefully. Use Delete account permanently only when ready. Use Contact support first if you are uncertain or need help.
- Finish and verify sign-out. After deletion, your current session ends and future login to that account should fail.
Need help instead of deletion?
If your main issue is security, billing confusion, or profile cleanup, contact support first at contact@grantaura.com. We can often solve the problem without permanent account removal.
10. Data Retention and Security
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to deliver services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type and business purpose.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information from unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or destruction. No internet transmission or storage method is fully secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
- We limit access to sensitive service materials to people and systems that need the information for delivery, support, security, or compliance.
- We review our service stack and operational workflows to reduce unnecessary collection, retention, and exposure of personal information.
- If a security issue affects your information and notice is legally required, we will provide notice consistent with applicable law.
Personal information may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we use appropriate transfer safeguards under applicable law.
11. Children and Minors
Grantaura services are intended for professionals and organizations and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted data to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
