About: The Rialto Small Business Grant Program provides a one-time grant of up to $10,000 to small businesses in Rialto, California. This grant is aimed at helping businesses maintain operations and their physical locations. Eligible businesses must have 25 or fewer full-time employees and must be located within Rialto’s city limits. Previously approved businesses that received $4,000 may reapply for an additional $6,000 (not exceeding $10,000) upon proving additional financial need, such as current revenue loss or overdue rent or utility bills. The funds can be used for rent, utilities, PPE, or general business expenses.

Eligibility:

-Located within Rialto city limits

-Active and in good standing with a current business license

-For-profit businesses with no more than 25 full-time employees (excluding part-time employees)

-Operational for at least six months

-No existing municipal code violations

-Must provide financial documents showing revenue loss in 2020 or 2021

-Disclosure of prior COVID-19 relief funding required

-Must not have received Rialto city grants in the last 24 months

-Businesses must either serve an area where at least 51% of residents are low-to-moderate income (LMI) or employ/create jobs for at least 51% LMI individuals

Terms:

-Funds are strictly for operational costs, rent, utilities, PPE, or other business expenses

-Business must meet HUD low-to-moderate income criteria for services or employment impact

-Grants are not repayable

-Additional eligibility conditions include providing documentation like revenue loss reports and overdue bills

-Business must have or obtain a Unique Entity Identifier Number (UEI)
