About Funding

Donor: East Bay Community Foundation

About: The Oakland Small Business Resiliency Fund is an initiative by the East Bay Community Foundation (EBCF) aimed at supporting diverse small businesses with a physical presence in Oakland. This fund provides a one-time grant to boost the resiliency of Oakland’s small businesses, helping them withstand and recover from economic and community safety challenges. The program is part of EBCF’s vision for an inclusive and just economy, where all East Bay residents have the economic power to thrive. Small businesses, which are crucial for job creation, economic stability, and community vibrancy, often face significant challenges such as safety issues, hiring shortages, and barriers to accessing low-cost capital. The fund specifically targets businesses owned by entrepreneurs of color, women, non-binary, and transgender individuals, who often face additional barriers.

This grant opportunity is a great initiative for small businesses in Oakland. If you’re a small business owner in Oakland, consider applying for this fund to enhance your business’s resiliency. Grantaura can assist you in finding relevant grants, preparing necessary documents like business plans and financial projections, and submitting applications on your behalf.
