About: The All Black Lives Fund (ABL) 2025 represents a groundbreaking grant initiative dedicated to empowering Black LGBTQ+ led organizations in Central Florida. Launched in 2020 and continuing strong into 2025, this grant program specifically focuses on supporting frontline organizations that champion Black Transgender, Gender Nonconforming, and Gender Nonbinary communities, as well as Sex Workers.
This transformative funding opportunity, offering grants up to $20,000, aims to amplify grassroots organizing efforts that build visibility, promote safety, and address systemic challenges faced by Black LGBTQ+ communities. The program draws inspiration from historic figures like Marsha P Johnson and contemporary movements, recognizing the crucial intersection of racial justice and LGBTQ+ rights.
The grant supports various innovative approaches to community empowerment, including:
-Healing and empowerment initiatives through peer-led support groups and community organizing
-Racial equity advancement programs addressing systemic barriers
-Leadership development opportunities for marginalized communities
-Projects led by trans, gender-expansive, and intersex individuals
-Bridge-building initiatives between diverse communities
-Safety and security measures against anti-LGBTQ+ hate and violence

Eligibility:
-Must be based in Central Florida (specified counties only)
-Organization must be Black LGBTQ+ led
-Must serve Central Florida’s LGBTQ+ communities
-Required to have 501(c)(3) status or fiscal sponsorship
-Annual expenses should be under $1 million (strongly preferred)
-Must demonstrate alignment with Contigo’s values
-Projects should address unmet community needs
-Willing to participate in learning community activities
-Must have or develop community oversight structure

Terms:
-501(c)(3): A tax-exempt nonprofit organization designation by the Internal Revenue Service
-Fiscal Sponsorship: An arrangement where a non-501(c)(3) organization can receive tax-deductible donations under the umbrella of an established 501(c)(3)
-LGBTQ+: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and other gender identities and sexual orientations
-Gender Nonconforming: Individuals whose gender expression differs from societal expectations
-Gender Nonbinary: People who identify outside the traditional male/female gender binary
-Intersex: Individuals born with physical sex characteristics that don’t fit typical binary notions of male or female bodies
