Eligibility: -Must be a U.S. military veteran, active duty service member, or currently serving in the military reserve/National Guard -Must obtain free membership with Farmer Veteran Coalition (FVC) -Must have received honorable discharge or equivalent –Active duty/reserve members require command support letter -Must operate a for-profit agricultural business -Must have a current business plan -Must demonstrate commitment to agricultural career development -Must be willing to participate in program requirements –Photo documentation of purchases –Progress reporting –Potential mentoring of other veteran farmers -Previous recipients who received over $1,000 are ineligible Benefits: -Financial awards ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 -Direct vendor payment for equipment and supplies -Access to agricultural industry network -Potential media exposure opportunities -Professional development support
