This program aims to enhance financial literacy, improve access to capital, and support the growth of businesses led by underrepresented founders. By providing grants, mentoring, and resources, the Nasdaq Foundation contributes to economic progress and social prosperity.
The program focuses on three key areas:
-Empower: Enhancing financial literacy and investing knowledge among under-resourced communities.
-Strengthen & Scale: Supporting entrepreneurs from under-resourced communities with resources to strengthen and scale their businesses.
-Build & Contribute: Collaborating with organizations to build a deeper understanding of challenges and contribute to the Foundation’s mission.
Focus: Financial literacy, Entrepreneurship, Economic empowerment, Community development
Region: Global
Eligibility:
-Tax-exempt organizations according to §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code.
-For-profit businesses or consultants acting on behalf of a qualified tax-exempt entity or through a fiscal sponsor.
-Organizations with a track record in the community and leadership team expertise.
Benefits: Average grant amount: $75,000
Terms:
-Under-resourced communities: Communities that lack access to adequate resources, including financial knowledge, capital, and business support.
-Financial literacy: The ability to understand and effectively use various financial skills, including personal financial management, budgeting, and investing.
-Tax-exempt organizations: Organizations that are exempt from paying federal income tax under §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code.
