Eligibility:
-Must be a for-profit business entity (corporation, partnership, LLP, LLC, or sole proprietorship)
–Not eligible: Non-profit organizations
-Business must be at least 51% owned and controlled by a woman veteran
–Must provide proof of veteran status via DD214 or active duty documentation
–Must show proof of woman ownership through formation documents
-Military service requirements:
–Honorable Discharge
–General Discharge under honorable conditions
–Active duty in military transition assistance program
–Current Reservist/National Guard member
-Geographic requirements:
–Business must be located and operating in Texas
-Business status requirements:
–All property taxes must be current (if applicable)
–All sales, payroll, and other taxes must be current
–Must have required permits and licenses
–Must be established before January 20, 2025
-Legal requirements:
–No felonies or convictions involving dishonesty
–No pending or current litigation
–Must be conforming to all required laws
-Exclusions:
–TWU faculty/staff and their immediate family
–TWU students
–Previous CWE grant winners
–Recent CWE program participants
–Current CWE consultants
–Former CWE grant judges
