Eligibility:
-Must complete one of these WBDC courses with 80% attendance and submit course deliverable:
–Guide to Plan for Success (GPS)
–Business Concept Clinic (BCC)
–Business Planning for Food-preneurs
–Marketing FUNdamentals
-Business requirements:
–Less than two years in operation
–51% or more woman-owned
–Headquartered in Connecticut
–Owner must be a Connecticut resident
–Must have a separate business checking account
–For-profit business registered in Connecticut
–Must show business activity (revenues, expenses, resources, or capital)
–Owner must be at least 18 years old
-Exclusions:
–Childcare businesses not eligible
–Sole proprietorships not eligible
–Previous Launch Pad Grant recipients not eligible
–Non-profit organizations not eligible
–Current WBDC vendors/contractors not eligible
–Certain business types not eligible including:
—Medical marijuana businesses
—Liquor stores and alcohol distributors
—Adult entertainment businesses
—Vape retailers and tobacco shops
—Gambling-related businesses
—Weapon retailers
—Financial services like cash advance or pawn shops
—Collection agencies
—Auction or bankruptcy sale businesses
