The program specifically targets businesses and attractions that contribute to Route 66’s rich cultural heritage, offering grants up to $2,000 per award. Eligibility:
-Businesses must be wholly or majority (51% or more) women-owned or women-operated
-Physical location must be on a Route 66 alignment or within a Route 66 community
-Must employ fewer than 20 full-time employees including owners
-Must be a registered business entity in good standing
-Small, locally owned franchises with 5 or fewer locations are eligible
-Independent service providers traveling Route 66 (tour operators, suppliers)
-Must not be a digital-only business
-Must not be part of a large national franchise (6+ locations)
